BACKGROUND:
- In 1998, my mother and I opened the salon / distributor LENA S D’ TRÓIA, where I started my professional life in the field of hair cosmetics at the age of 19.
Mrs. HELENA CASADEI already has a vast experience in the hair area where I had already graduated as a professional hairdresser more than 10 years ago and I (despite my young age) had already demonstrated the skills to manage a company, so we decided to combine our skills and start our own business.
After opening the company, I started working in the administrative area and helping my partner in the capillary area.
- In 2000, I started my higher education course in Business Administration at the Universidade da Amazônia, and concluded my bachelor’s degree in 2005. In this course I developed a vast knowledge in the administrative area and learned how to develop creative ideas.
I started to study and specialize in the area of hair cosmetics, and in the same year of 2000. These studies made me look for brands of cosmetic products to start a small distribution with which we started a new partnership with Duetto Cosmetics which was a product that we already used in our salon and sold to our customers.
Despite continuing to manage the salon and working as a hairdresser, I started a career in the distribution of salon products and always became the TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBLE in the NORTH/NORTHEAST of the products we sold.
- In 2006 I introduced Duetto products in our salon, which is a company specialized in products for Hair Transformation, for hair health, when the client’s emotions were shaken by not having the hair of her dreams, we performed an excellent analysis, diagnosed the problem, right after that we set up a capillary schedule with Duetto products, and this client started to have healthy hair and her self-esteem improved, over the years I developed several treatment techniques for her hair and scalp.
Duetto Cosméticos (www.duettosuper.com.br) is located in the city of Franca, São Paulo, Brazil. It is an industry specialized in high quality cosmetics, aimed at the professional hairdresser and has been present in the market for 15 years serving all of Brazil. In addition to distributing the products to beauty salons, I organized major events for beauty professionals, bringing vast technical and educational knowledge with Duetto products, we provided technical assistance within the salons, doing this to increase their income.
- In 2007, due to the great work I was developing in the city of BELÉM-PA in the cosmetics distribution area, several brands started looking for my salon so that I could start a distribution. So I decided to open a new company to focus on selling these products. The beauty salon remained open, serving the general public.
In this new company I was responsible for the brands sold, company/people administration, sales, etc.
- In 2008, I started working with the company Mutari, a cosmetics and dermocosmetics company from Minas Gerais that occupies a prominent place in the national market, committed to offering the beauty professional complete lines of hair treatment and transformation, in an effective and totally healthy way ( www.mutari.com.br). In this company, I bought products for straightening, treatments, I recovered extremely damaged hair, I also distributed to salons in the region and held large events for beauty professionals. My company has always been very concerned with the educational part of professionals. I also gave advice so that salons could always increase their income.
- In 2010 I initiated a partnership with the company Luvi Cosméticos, also a company specialized in hair treatments. Created 15 years ago in Brazil, it is present in more than 20 countries with recognition from the main beauty professionals. I did the distribution, supplying the products in the salons, I gave courses, technical assistance, I developed different ways of applying the products, creating different ways of impacting the beauty market.
- Also, in 2010 I started a partnership with the company Ecosmetics (www.ecosmetics.com.br). I bought from the authorized distributor in the region in Belém-Brazil. Their products were introduced in our salon to offer differentiated works to our customers, as we have always been known as a salon that has a variety of high-quality products, as each hair requires a specific type of product, so we always work to better serve the needs of our clients, requirements of our clientele, offering quality work and always looking for the satisfaction of our clients.
- In 2012, my salon already was known in Pernambuco market (a Brazil Northern State), where I brought the cosmetic brands of my partnerships.
- In 2013, I partnered with Sebrae – Brazilian Service to Support Micro and Small Companies. Sebrae is a Brazilian private, non-profit social service entity, created on July 5, 1972, which aims to train and promote the economic development and competitiveness of micro and small companies, stimulating entrepreneurship in the country. Through this partnership, I developed major events aimed at the beauty sector and participated in fairs to help other professionals that were starting their career and/or business in the field.
- In 2014, I started developing a personalized course inside the beauty salons, through which I offered all technical assistance. This course had a duration of 2 days, with a workload of 8 hours a day. During 2015 and 2016, I continued working with courses and product distribution, increasing the market more and more.

- In 2016, I intensified the courses at technical center of my company in Pernambuco/BR.
- In August 2017 I came to the US for tourism and then the desire to expand my business to America arose. However, I understood that the first step to establishing a business in the US would be to learn the language. So I changed my student visa and I’ve been studying English until now.
- In the same year, 2017, I started working as volunteer for the company Bio Naza Cosmetic Products Inc., helping create the Hair Protein Treatment Step 1 and Step 2 protocol for Bio Naza. Since then, I have been assisting Bio Naza by providing technical advice for the creation of other hair care products in the United States. I also have been providing my knowledge in entrepreneurship and cosmetics distribution, to help them expand the brand in the Brazilian market.
- In 2019 and 2023, I made pro bono works in the Premiere Orlando – The Ultimate Beauty Experience, which is the largest show in the United States, with inspiring education from the best beaty experts, and top-notched exhibiting companies. Premiere Orlando is a venue with multiple resources for discovering all of the latest techniques, trends, and products.
- In April 2020, I started doing volunteer works for Luvi Cosméticos, comprising in advice about compounds that should be included in the formula of their products to optimize the results, spreading Luvi products on church women, so that I would help them with free treatment and doing other duties that allow me to keep my practical experience up to date while I continue taking my English course.
